Post Re: The O/T thread!
Anybody sold anything on eBay recently? Both my missus and I are flogging off all manner of stuff to raise a bit of wedge and clear our house out. Now, ebay is the ideal place to head to if what you desire is a buffoon wasting your time with semi-literate non-committal, but has it become standard practice to demand a BIN price on anything prior to bidding? Do the folk who do it think they're the only people clever enough to do it? I've just listed an item and within two minutes, and I mean two minutes, I'd got a message which read 'Alright mate you got a buy now price can collect at weekend let me know jason 07********' That was in the time it took me to read through my freshly posted listing and change tabs to check my email account. I replied with a brief description of how an auction worked and by the time I'd sent that I had another message from another semi-literate twerp. Only 9 days, 23hrs and 53minutes of getting bell ends clogging up my email account with stupid messages to go! Great. The cheese and kisses has also listed about a dozen things and over half of them have tempted similar people to get in touch with her too.

Most of my ebay listings contain some kind of caustically sarcastic sentence explaining the nature of an auction, and that if they can't see a buy it now price, that's because there isn't one, and that illiterate text speak messages will be ignored and so on and so forth. The bad news is that even that doesn't stop them asking.

I've just finished my second year of University. Could not be happier to be away for a few months.
