The law on over hangs is stupid
Up to one metre - nothing needed
Up to two metres - a indication flag of some sort
2 metres plus - you have to give the police 3 working days of your plans

In Holland we are supposed to carry this sign :  If you carry a rag , the police will stop you and it will cost you some Euro's  That is to say, IF you come across a police-man ( or woman) , I think they are dying out. You hardly seen them in the wild nowadays. Or they hide in vans with speedcamera's , having a good time.

I feel sorry for the police. They deal with the worlds biggest scrotes on a daily basis and work to the governments guidelines
