Viking,
I think you'll struggle to find a seal of that diameter for 2 Euros, more likely to be closer to 10 Euros? ;)

http://www.123pieceauto.com/citroen-vis ... tml?list=1

That link doesn't work too well, but put NF810 in the Recherche par référence window and you'll find a Payen seal listed as 10.47 Euros.

or similar

that esab looks like it only has 2 power settings might be worth checking what the minimum aperage is or you could be blowing holes in everything.

http://www.welding.org.uk/esabmanuals/Instruction%20Manuals/Origo%20Mag%20C140,%20C150,%20C170,%20C200,%20C250.pdf

35amps minimum might need a bit of practice to get used to it.

Sean

Next step. 10L of pure Argon arrived from the UK. Sean where do I buy the regulator. Another friend is roaming the UK at the moment and can bring it back

In advance many thanks
Viking

Ah!
you dont want pure argon for welding steel you really need the Argon co2 mix

you need pure argon for aluminium and for Tig welding

If your friend is in one place long enough then weldquip will dispatch the next day "to site" ie somewhere other than the payees home adress - usually when your getting plant / materials delivered to the place you are working

For that bottle you need an argon mix valve - side entry
http://www.weldequip.com/argonmix-conversion-kit-se.htm

worth getting the one with the hose as that will be the next thing- ready to go with one of these

most big towns have a "Machine mart" where your mate can walk up to the counter and walk away with the thing.
http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/range/guid/628688F9-084E-41F1-87F3-ADE549DC71BB
remember to gat adapter hose at £15 ish
but the machine mart model is a cheap crappy affair.

Well I'm stuck with this bottle as I can't replace it until empty. Do I need regulator for pure argon or mix?

Bugger my friend is leaving saturday but will ring straight away to find out if they can deliver latest friday or saturday morning.

Cheers
Viking

PS. Order done over the phone. Regulator is the same for pure or mixed argon.
