 Re: My 2cv
Jonathan wrote: Got back home from Salbris very early this morning and it's nice to report that the 2CV drove perfectly the whole time, an absolute pleasure to drive Met up with Squeezebox, Mrs Squeezebox and Phil.S of this parish on the ferry to Calais and after a little detour for them(they ended up going down the A26 instead of the A16 ) we met again at a service area on the A28 south-west of Abbeville and continued the journey down through Normandy countryside to Chartres. On Tuesday we headed to Salbris and got in the queue at 12:30pm on the D121 about 6kms from the meeting site and sat around for nearly two hours before continuing the drive to Salbris and ending up in the holding field for 4hrs. We finally got on site at half six, quarter to seven and found Julian Ford who'd kept a space for us(cheers Jules). We took a drive out on Thursday to Saint Aignan sur Cher et Montrichard and left Salbris on Saturday morning to drive up through Champagne, ending up at Reims and continuing the journey to Calais yesterday and catching the 7:50pm ferry back to Blighty. I got home at 1:40am as I had to stop a few times due to falling asleep at the wheel A big thank you to Squeeze, Mrs Squeeze and Phil for being so friendly, welcoming and crazy Spent most of the time in stitches One of the few downsides to the week was one of the party being the victim of theft re One of the few downsides to the week was one of the party being the victim of theft yes my wife was woken up in the early hours on Fri morning by some kids trying to get into our tent and heard from tony & shiry white that their tent was broken into on Saturday but dont think they lost anything

 Re: My 2cv
Car is running very well, really enjoying using it around Shetland but today the door handle has come off and got lost. Hope to get over to the islands of Yell and Unst tomorrow and get it to be the most northerly car in the British Isles.

 Re: My 2cv
Getting a bit bored of the colour of this now. I quite fancy a one colour set-up and something a bit classier (grey, black, creamy off-white). Quite smitten with the 60s look and pastel shades. I might take a look at what original colours/shades have been used over the years and put up a few favorites for an i2f vote. Hell, I may even end up having it sprayed Orange Ténéré as I quite like that, too. PS:-Need to get the original engine redone and fitted first, though.

Dreaming of the possibilities is always fun! Always thought this is a rather splendid 70s colour (from Argentina): Attachment:

And this is nice (64 Argentine): Attachment:

Non-standard-but-classy Porsche green: Attachment:

For me, the classiest of the old school looks: Attachment:

Or perhaps the patina-of-age aesthetic: Attachment:
