S'ok, was going to happen sooner or later. I've been convinced I was living on borrowed time.

James, I won't smack your ass as I don't fancy a knock on the door from the RSPCA, but I'll give you a bloody good kick up the arse when I see you next

 Re: My 2cv
Not too sure what the problem is, I think it's a problem with the clutch actuating fork thingy being worn/damaged. I'll have a word with Spanners, see if he can work some magic on it.

The clutch fork is FUBAR along with the pin that holds it in and the clutch fork spring-the amount of movement all over the shop from the clutch fork won't have been doing any favours. Yes I know, I should've checked everything properly when I fitted the clutch-my bad! As well as the clutch issues, there are a few other matters to be addressed-the (ever) blowing manifold has melted the cowling and damaged the cooling fins on the one head. I suspect there's also rather too much end float on the crank too. So, once I've made a shopping list up for Mr B, he can get a new clutch fork etc and I can lob the "Slag Engine"* in his car and then we can get his engine sorted/a new one built. Oh happy days eh? *I think the slag engine will end up covering more miles in other peoples cars than it did in its original home! The Slag.... Last seen in Sarah Laffins Dyane and previously in Lukes Cote D'Azur-didn't it do a World Meeting, Luke?

I'd doubt that the escaping gases have actually melted the fin way, more likely its a casting flaw- and coincidence that its next to the exhaust manifold (or that the flaw extends to the manifold and it isn't truly flat) . If the leak were to burn the fin don't you think that the finger of alloy would last long? it'd be the first bit to go. Ive seen holes in the middle of fins as well as odd sorts of frilly edges. as for the cowling-rubber and coconut?

 Re: My 2cv
I would normally agree Sean but, there's melted blobs of alloy stuck between the remaining fins........
