Goodbye to Jono but hello from me, the new owner! :D

I thought I'd better say hello as the Mehari has a funny sticker on the back flappy bit:

Wotcha, Mr Tim!

Would you like to tell everybody the story of the Mehari's "name", and kill a kitten or two, or shall I...?

I was sorting through a whole bunch of old email and found...

...the Mehari.

Yes, that's right, I am now officially the owner of a lovely 1975 ex-Foreign
Legion, 4 seater, Vert Montana (well it was once, it's now kind of a murky
brown, ooooh lovely!) Mehari. I have sold the Tropical Blue, though it is still
here as the new owner can't pick it up until next weekend, but I couldn't wait
any longer for the Mehari, so I now have 4 cars. I'm getting as bad as some of
you guys!

It's not too bad you know! We got it started yesterday, it runs beautifully, it
moves about in every gear, and even stops itself! Most of the lights work,
there's just some problems with a couple of the rear lights. It's fab!

Anyway, gotta go, Mondays are always Manic around here.

Jonathan

So as you have now spilt the beans on the name (although technically the Mehari is a car and therefore can't actually have a name), does that mean the kitten gets it or not? :?: One less cat cr*pping in my garden would be a positive result.

Anyway, although the Mehari is somewhat cosmetically challenged (I'm sure Mr H wouldn't mind me saying it's best viewed from a distance (or in the dark) and the only award it is going to win is the award for the Mehari that needs most body pannels replacing  ), all the bits are there, it has a years ticket and runs like a goodun, so we have been enjoying driving it in the currnet nice weather :D

I might repaint it this winter ........... ;)

I would say so as most of your replacement panels need replacing too!
