Passenger seat problem sorted. I'm more than happy with the results so, when I manage to get my grubby paws on a matching headrest, I'll do the drivers seat too! :ugeek:

One seat stripped of its cover.

Then a couple of bloody great holes drilled in the top of the frame-that was a bit daunting!

Image

A couple of bits of appropriately sized tube (Discovery jack handle) welded into the holes and braced nicely.

And a couple of appropriately sized grommets....

And, hey presto. 8-)

Agreed LPGO, as I'm a massive BX fan anyway, I've spent quite a lot of very comfortable miles sat on BX seats. They were my first choice and I was bidding on a pair on eBay but got outbid by £1 so I had to solve the problem another way.

And, may I say, I'm more than happy with the solution too. As is Mrs Spanners. :D 8-)

Edit: Sean, I've measured the holes in the bulkhead and they're 39mm diameter.

In a few moments, I shall be going outside to check levels and grease kingpins (I hate grease! ) in readiness for our trip down to Portsmouth this afternoon. And then, for the next week we'll be mostly found in Brittany. 8-)

I shall, no doubt, take many, many utterly crap photos to upload on here when I get back..........

I shalln't be bringing a car back this time although I am hoping to bring back a few car related "souvenirs"!
