If t'were me, I think I'd just get the material and do it "live". 2cvs aren't all the same shape. You should be able to cut it to rough size/shape easily enough, then do the final trimming once it's in place.

Re: Interior Lining and Interior Bits
Hi, Ive just done the insides of mine with some "speaker cabinet" material, but thats only because I got it free from Freecycle ! But its worked a treat, and isnt that expensive anyway. I stuck it in with Wickes Flooring Spray Adhesive, and thats basically a spray contact glue and is just under a fiver for a can and is real easy to use....oh and it smells nice too! Although if you get carried away it will off course go everywhere.....they do a brush on version also if you want to be precise !.....Oh and cellulose thinners just about removes anything if you need a clean up !...and as people have noted here...that again smells nice !! HOWEVER....daring to put my "cough" VW camper head on...it was a plain old panel van when I got it and fitted out the insides myself. I pondered what to use to line out the roof etc. I went to a specialist coachbuilding place and they sold me some very expensive carpet type material and some special glue that was like the Wickes stuff but heat resistant (cant remember what it smelt like ). The carpet was elasticated (very much so, like a pair of leggins...although Ive never worn them...... honestly... ), and for all the "curvey bits" I have to admit it was worth every penny (pound)...It basically just was able to follow the contours of the vehicle. Like leggins on a err...young ladies ...errr... oh dear...errm ....lower half. The special glue they sold me was because it was able to withstand the heat inside a vehicle in the summer.....12 years later both doing well. However I also used some cheapo felt backed carpet from Carpetright and Wickes flooring spray on other bits and it works a treat too.

Hi Joe I hadn't actually thought of re-instituting the parcel shelf, I got rid of it a long time ago, can't remember why maybe it fell to pieces too. If I find the pole again which hooks into the inside of the boot hinge I'll think about it, but not worried for now. Thanks very much for the kind offer though.

Hmm its an idea, but the image of manhandling a large sheet of material inside the car with two hands and the scissors between my teeth wouldn't make for a pretty sight I'd think, nor a good result. I think I'll start with the template from Dave, and 'overcut' that slightly before trimming as it goes into place.

Re: Interior Lining and Interior Bits
I made templates when I did the van, like John, using speaker carpet for the dash and bulkhead. It looks so good, I may do the sides of the van too, but not sure yet. PVC or vinyl table cloth material is great for door cards as when you inevitably get mud on them it just wipes off Incidentally, has anyone else tried a milonga session? We should have an i2F dance off at the next camp - squeezebox could play for us! How's your Piazolla John?
