Ace Cafe, London
This year's L2B route sheet included the following message:- "STOP PRESS NEW START POINT FOR LONDON TO BRIGHTON 2010 A popular car and bike meeting point-ACE CAFE-On the north Circular Road, Stonebridge, NW10 7UD, between A40 and A404. Sunday May 30th 2010- visit ace-cafe-london.com" There was also a separate flyer inviting everyone to attend and bring their classic Citroen to the Ace on Monday 15th June 2009, 6pm-11pm. Normally the 3rd Monday of each month is French Classic & Performance Cars night, but it would be brilliant if we can outnumber the souped up Poo-Jets for once and make it OUR night. Also a great early chance to check out the venue: if it's your first time the food is great and sensibly priced and there's a lot of Ace Cafe memorabilia for sale. If you like their sausages you can even buy some to take home and cook (sorry Mssrs Wulff , Johnston, and any other saffers, I meant braii ). Please feel free to pass the word round to anyone with a classic Cit of any description. The more of us, the better . Rob p.s. I've duplicated this post on the 2cvgb forum as well: Not everyone there comes here, and not everyone here is able to go there...

And about 100 chavmobiles. Mind you, the twin-engined R5 GT Turbo was... interesting... Quote: the food is great and sensibly priced Mmm. Can't say I was impressed on either count.

Not those previously frozen 'orrible things that most other places provide. "Sensibly priced" is in relation to Croydon and central London; most themed bar cafes serve mediocrity at extraordinarily high prices. I can have either a burger & chips or sausages & mash for less than the price of a cheapy kebab & chips in Croydon. They serve decent tea in proper mugs too

I'm a big fat Midlander, and don't do Haute Cuisine, but.... ....you can't go wrong with that for £7. That's me (pre-haircut) in the grey t-shirt tucking in...

I think I might go along to this on the 15th.
Anybody else?

Anybody else? I won't be about, otherwise I'd say "Definitely!"

Bugger - really wanted to go to this - but boss has told me to go to Birmingham for 3 days next week. Might have to resign....
