My brother's 1955 Series 2 is in far better condition. It's still for sale as he's made absolutely no effort to sell it

Might be worth doing a check on that plate in a year, see what it's been transferred to...

It currently comes up as a 2005 BMW 2 litre diesel. The seller said the plate's been stolen, but if it's on the DVLA database then either someone's been very devious with the paper work and a dubious MOT while he wasn't paying attention, Or DVLA have re-sold it without telling him. :?

Or the person who last had it on the road flogged the plate before the ticket ran out last time...

That would have to have been a looooong time ago, and surely he would/should have noticed that he got it with, no V5 or a V5 showing a different reg no.
I guess if he's never had it on the road then he could have been sold it with an old, invalid copy of the V5 showing the original number.

Whatever, if the DVLA have officially transferred the plate to something else(and they have because it's on their database) then the Moggy will have been issued with a different age related plate, the seller's just is not aware of it.
