Yes, La Poste, I bought it at the end of the 90s and not from the person in the photo.
Good luck with your van, I am hoping my van will be on the road again this year, but I have been hoping that for the last 5 years.

Haha maybe we'll get hold of Gary Dicks and replicate the photo!

That pic's from a High St mag, (Practical Classics?), early '90s. Sam - was it a photocopy in the folder, or the orig? I can't remember if the orig mag was in there or separate. IIRC, that picture's from the December 1992 copy of Practical Classics magazine - there was a 6 page article on 2cvs & i think most were taken at Registers day at Coombe Abbey that year - Charles Maharry's Pony, Neil Osbourne's Ami super, & the ex N reg drummer of Brian Mark - now owned by Ben all feature, along with, i'm sure a picture of Steve Page who was floggin' a load of spares! Nice to know La Poste is still around - the last time i remember seeing it was at an Avon Racing Tortoises meeting in the early to mid 90s when it was owned by the 'Amazing Russell' - no, not Higgs, but the juggling, firewalking expert!

Russell is still firebreathing and juggling, I bump into him occasionally. From Russell's website http://www.pick-n-mix.co.uk/Theme%20entertainment.html#Fire_Juggling,_Fire_Eating_and_Fire_Shows__ miarke

I haven't seen Russel since a mid 90's Gower camp. Glad to see he's still doing the circus stuff. Say Hi if you bump into him again.

Re: Belgian built 1969 AK350 'Hetty'
Did some more polishing today. It's good to see what's solid, what's 'acne' type rust and what's 'worryable' rust. Luckily there's little of the latter and the polishing is getting rid of the former. Lots of polishing as it was flipping cold today, it keeps me warm! Before and after polish - still not quite aware what colour it is... grey/green/beige...? Attachment:

I removed the desert boudoir hangings, simply as it was harbouring damp and I need to get at the roof. Attachment:

The roof is on the whole good, few rust spot bits, with more towards the rear Attachment:

Plan is to get rid of the rust, prime and probably overcoat with anti-condensation paint. There's a lot of (designed, not rusted) holes in the rear panel. 2 of the holes are for the number plate, any ideas on the others? Bare in mind the number plate lights are still attached. Attachment:

Electrics are next... this comes off the back of the alternator...? Attachment:
