   |   Re: Leboncoin/eBay findsIt has no market it's not what people want. Minilite wheels and metallic paint belong on..well on Mini's. A properly refurbished 2cv in a classic Citroen colour scheme has the nostalgia factor, that car just doesn't. It's too flash for traditionalists to expensive for the younger crowd. _________________

You'd have to be either incredibly thick-skinned or completely brain dead to be seen behind the wheel of that thing. It shouts 'Twat'.

   |   Re: Leboncoin/eBay findsDon't hold back DA - say what you think (Living up to your 'handle')
I think ON had it right when he pointed out the lack of a substantial market for that kind of car. As discussed in other threads the 2CV is just not expensive enough to make a time intensive restoration a commercial viability - People do it for love, and because they can.
If they try to recoup that investment it's always going to be a struggle.

As one of the major suppliers of 2CV parts in the Uk I hope they can recover some of the costs - Whoever you favour to get bits from it is usually good for the market as a whole if there are plenty of viable suppliers.
