 Re: carpeting inside a 2cv
I've seen stranger topics reach amazing number of pages. I LOVE carpets in cars. The original ones in a DS Pallas is the best! But I wanted carpets in my 2CV's also, as I always drive barefoot if it's "T-shirt-weather". And a carpet is soooo much better against my feet, than rubber It really helps with the cozy feeling in the car too! I use a type of carpet designed for out-door use, like boat decks and porches. It is light weight, dries very quick and allows water under it to dry. Water vapors trough the carpet, so this carpet is much better for the floors than the rubber mats. It is also relatively easy to clean. This is the first I made, for my yellow 2CV: Then I got a D*lly, and bought more carpet. This time red. Really quick'n easy as I used the carpet from my yellow as a "guide".*(Doesn't remember the proper word for it) Mmmmmm..... driving barefoot, with a carpet floor and the roof open. Me like!

 Re: carpeting inside a 2cv
I cut a square of board to fit over the spare wheel in the boot of my D*lly. The finishing touch was to stick some left over carpet on top with spray adhesive. The result is a plush boot that Vanden Plas would be proud of. It did leave me thinking I could take this further through the car. Now I've read this thread those thoughts are back

 Re: carpeting inside a 2cv
Theres a company called MEGVANETS that sell carpets for car/van interiors . 1 thing about there carpet is so plyable and mouldable that you could easily trim out an entire 2cv interior with it . You can cover a VWT4 wheel arch in one piece thats how mouldable it is. They have a web site.
