There is a government service for tracking them down I believe.

I hadn't been in 14 Queen Anne's Gate very long before I pointed out that the document's front cover, with "The Firm and it's Achievements" plastered in bold lettering across it, contained a basic spelling error.

I may not have immaculate grammar by any stretch of the imagination, but it did find it rather worrying being presented with a question in a science exam including the sentence "One mark is for correct spelling, punctuation and gramar."... :roll:

Maybe you should have got another for proof reading for them? I'm sure today they'd give you another mark just for putting the correct date on top.

You have man points? Are they like something you build up as currency?

"I put a shelf up today dear, so that's another five man points in the bank" :P

Excellent concept I like it! How many do we start with at birth? And if you made an excuse not to put up that shelf would that be worth more man points than the five you got for actually doing it, or less? I do hope it's more, I could be loaded. 8-)

We did it at school. Man points where precious. You got them for doig stupid things. Such as walking across the playground infront of a teacher smoking. Or just doing rediciulus thingswhicu could lead to expulsion etc. Also can earn them by just being a total fearless badass.
I remember earning some man points for throwing a mate over a fence into some undergrowth. Sadly I got seen and summoned to detention.

Sounds like a plotline from "The Inbetweeners".

I'm only guessing here, but from your definition I reckon that the kind of deed a bloke would define as qualifying for "man points" differs wildly from the kind of deed a woman would deem worthy of the same awards. For example, belching loudly the name "Archbishop Makarios" (in one burp) and farting at the same time would quite naturally result in the bestowing of many man points on a planet inhabited only by males. Introduce women to that planet and things like fixing leaky roofs and lifting a tree over your head whilst punching a baddy suddenly become valuable.
Conclusion: females are important for encouraging goal-orientated behaviour, but they undervalue the simple pleasures of life. Or something.

Post Re: The O/T thread!
My school was a complete riot... and frequently things went WAY over the line! We got away with all sorts of stuff, including:

- chopping down several massive 60ft trees using full-size tree axes which several kids smuggled into school (the school backed onto a forest, which was out of bounds but the teachers were so dozy they didn't do anything to enforce the rule);

- taking part in a massive organised battle which ended up with four kids in hospital (one fell onto a tree stump and ruptured his liver, another was hit on the head by a flying rock, one broke his hand punching another kid, putting his victim in A&E also with a burst eardrum. The last two shared an ambulance!!);

- a kid volunteering to be tied by his feet to a sapling (which took 6 of us to bend to the ground) for a dare, and then catapulted into the air when we let go of the tree;

- blocking all the toilets and then flushing them all at the same time (synchronised watches and an agreement to all flush at 11am) ultimately resulting in the drain covers being lifted off, and the school main building being flooded and subsequently evacuated. It was shut the following day also so that it could be professionally cleaned;

- having the school come under sustained attack from a mob of about 100 lads from a nearby school, on account of one of us having been cheeky to one of their sisters. The attack was staved off singlehandedly by the school groundsman, who responded to getting hit on the leg by a half brick by picking up a trowel and charging at the attackers yelling "I'll cut your f*****g ears off, you little b******s!" The groundsman got a special mention from the headmaster in assembly the following morning!!
Unfortunately, one of the attackers returned the following week and hid in a bush on the edge of the forest with an airgun. He shot a kid in the face! The gunman was arrested and sent down.

- oh, and a mysterious poo that appeared in the PE teacher's shower. It wasn't me.

All in one year!! Straight up. Not a word of a lie.

Jackass is tame by comparison with what we got up to...

blimey

my school wasnt brilliant tbut thats bad!!

our teachers where so dozy too, they stuck to routines which we had sussed out and had everything planned so getting away with things was far too easy!!! even if it was right infront of them!!
