   |   Re: Salbris 2011Blimey ferries are expensive! We thought about going back to the UK via the Channel Islands but its £144 just to go st malo to jersey Looks like we'll mooch round the loire valley for a few days, maybe do paris on the way there and reims on the way back.... or something...

   |   Re: Salbris 2011I'm thinking out on the 22nd or 23rd July, back on the 2nd or 3rd August on the cheapest crossings I can find.No tour this year, just straight there and back. This is all depends on what else is going on at the time, and whether or not I have any actual money/job/house etc. 2011 is looking dicey.

   |   Re: Salbris 2011It is my first world meeting and I am looking so forward to it!!
I have a question though. What do you do then it comes to charging mobile phones, PC ect.?
Are there any access to electricity or should one charge from the car then driving or an inverter or so?

Our holiday starts (hopefully) Friday in week 29 and we expect to leave DK Saturday at 3 or 4 in the morning.
We are taking the ferry from DK to Germany and drive the direct route to Salbris through Germany, Belgium , France, with build in stops at camp sights though. After the meeting, we have two weeks left of our holiday, and beside going to Paris, we haven't planed anything, than where the road takes us.

   |   Re: Salbris 2011Blimey, I've only gone and booked the ferry. Can we just magic the next six and a bit months away. I need to be on a scenic french back road with the roof rolled back, tunes on, heading to Salbris right now! _________________

   |   Re: Salbris 2011Just booked the ferry. Is anyone else going on the Seafrance 08.15 sailing on the 25th? Back on the 31st at 19.50, all for £76.50 with 2cvgb discount. As I'm not tenting, I've also booked my hotels - leisurely drive down via Rouen and then back through Reims. ie a big circle avoiding Paris Staying just north of Salbris for the week.

   |   Re: Salbris 2011Booked here too - sailing with DFDS (same as Aidan). Cost £80. We will be taking a leisurely drive to & from the meeting as well, mainly as we'll be in the 435cc postie van. Best suited to RNs and back roads rather then pounding the autoroute! _________________
