Post Re: Spanners new friend 8
Cheers peeps, it's proving good fun but hard work in equal measure!

I'm attempting to butt-weld it all together to try and reduce the chances of it rusting too much more in the future. We'll see............

As for how it looks, I used to care but, I'm not sure I do really! It's my car so as long as it's solid and doesn't look too much like a patchwork quilt at the end of it, I don't give a hoot.

The problem I'm having is some of the shapes, I just can't make them up in one piece hence it is a bit of a patchwork as can be seen in the last photo. Hey ho, never mind.

Tell me about it. This week at work I've been making some steel oak lef shapes, three different curves in them, an utter cock to make in one piece.

Did a load more on this yesterday despite the fact that it didn't rise above -2 in my garage all day! Bloody horrible.

Never mind, it's -11 outside apparently and my garage is hovering around the -5 mark so I'm heading back out for another assault in a few minutes!

I'll take some photos when my hands are warm enough to press fiddly little buttons

Spent what seemed like an eternity in the garage today but didn't get an awful lot done on the face of it. I was hoping to have the passengers side finished today but it was just too bloody cold to get really motivated-it hasn't risen above -5 in there all day despite my heater!

In fact, it was so cold that mt mug of coffee froze!

Likewise, I didn't get many photos as my phone will not work when it's too cold-it comes up with a nice little message saying camera function disabled due to extreme cold or something like that.

But, the few photos I did get..........

I also think work on this will stall a bit for the next few weeks as my grandma died this afternoon (mums mother died on the 1st too) so it's gonna be another hectic couple of weeks-I'm wondering if I've even got the time for my impending mental breakdown???? More on that on Tuesday..........

I'm sorry to hear of your Loss Jon, there is never a good time to lose a loved one, but it's much worse at Christmas. Hope you're okay, pass on my condolence to your mother & father :(

Got stuck in again today-even had to turn the heating down in the garage!

Anyway, I've all but finished the passenger side at last, just a bit of tidying, sealing and painting and then refit the doors and wings.

Then, on to the drivers side to do it all again.

I've managed to do all this so far in 2 months, maybe I'll have her on the road by the end of February?????
