Post Re: The O/T thread!
it performs just as well if not better than diesel
most people use this acid crap, costic soda, to thin it down and break the fat up, but that is just waisting money, there is a perfictically good way to do it (why people havent worked this out yet i dont know) of refining it.

a lot of people filter and filter, filters block quick!

whereas we filter twice before going into the big tank, then filter once again before it goes into the truck, filter it down to 1micron of water,

performance wise, my friend says he has more power out of his truck, hes had to do a few modifications to make it be fool proof, most of which are things hes thought of to make it better,
the modifications arent expensive if you know what your doing either
the fuel costs him his time to pick it up and refine it (next to nothing!)

its nasty stuff to work with though, it gets everywhere, it goes sticky and stinks also

oh also, thats the reason i wanted a ring hitch tow bar as thats the trailer that has one, the trailer used to be an ex mobile traffic light trailer (with the diesel gen set inside) thats why it has a ring..!!

Does he pay duty at his local tax office or are you telling us on a public forum that a blue Toyota pick up regularly seen at Dell Quay, registration VNA 15S is running on illegally recycled cooking oil?

"From 1 July 2007, users/producers of 2,500 litres or less per annum were no longer required to submit a monthly return (although existing producers will be required to keep basic records for an additional 6 years). This means the use of compliant vegetable oils are now DUTY FREE for the private motorist."
I would be thoroughly pissed off if the government wanted payment for using what is essentially a waste product. Would they charge you to run your car off the bullshit that comes out of Clegg's mouth?

its got a ring hitch(pintle) CAUSE ITS TOO HEAVY TO PULL WITH A CAR!

so whats the process your mate used to split the glycerine out and stop it gumming up the rings and injectors? its not just a case of straining out the old chips and bits of batter

yep veg esthers have a higher cetane rating than dino diesel, bit like a higher octane petrol.

cool if you get it to work
