If you suddenly find a burning desire for one though, unless you know something i dont about a stash of them, you try and find one in the UK :|

I have no desire, burning or smoldering, to own one of those.

Interesting fact: the 1600 riva has a better power to weight ratio than an e30 BMW. I'm a huge fan of them. Proper drift machines!

Just realised I kicked off a massive thread drift. Sorry. I'll head on over to internationalladafriends.com, many apologies folk.

Doesn't matter. Sooner or later we'll probably get back to 2CVs. I see threads as more like a conversation in a pub, which would be dull indeed if you spent all the time talking about one subject.

On the subject of drifting threads and 2cvs, any one know if any one has built a rear wheel drive 2cv and drifted it? (see what I did there?!) I thought about the idea when helping my old man build the bimotor jeep recently, as you can control the rear end throttle etc separately to the front, technically knock the front engine off and run it from the rear...

Citroen built the twin engined Sahara in the late 50s early 60s, so with the front engine off and the front transmission disabled with the special hook provided, then you have a rear wheel drive 2cv :P
