Oh yeah. Sorry. You're right and I knew that.

Quick lesson on Front wheel drive, it does this:

And Rear wheel drive, it does this:

And that's way cooler.

I think there's probably two exceptions to the 'RWD is best' rule, original Mini, and Early FWD Citroens. I can't think of anything else that works.

Isn't that a Quattro rather than a FWD Audi. No great Audi fan, but a Quattro driven by Michelle Mouton..........

I continue to hope to see front wheel drive dominate formula 1 (or just about any other formula).
Or even appear successfully in any serious formula. ;)

Nah, there is RWD and WWD. I'm only willing to make an exception for 2CVs :lol:

WWD = wrong wheel drive?

That Quattro driver up there just isn't doing it right, It should go more like this, although admittedly the gravel is helping.

And yes that's a quattro, it's got the big arches. However as an example of chronic understeer, which is what Russ posted it for, that picture shows it pretty well.

I wouldn't say the FWD/RWD thing is that black and white though, there are plenty of good handling FWD cars and evil RWDs, peugeot 205 and vw b**tle just for starters.

And the engine cantilevered out into the nethermost regions of the car.

It is snowing here, a lot. I knew the assertion on the weather forecast that we wouldn't get any of the white stuff here would incur the wrath of the Gods....

I think I'm going to find myself a bottle of Irish whiskey
