i dont know if there is any truth in that. I think colour is more painful that linework (IMO) but some people feel the opposite. the yellow highlights hurt more because it was sore from a an hour of black shading, and an hour of red shading. By the two and a half hour mark it all hurt!

Lpgo's old Sahara (from Tony's 'Sudo Kubel' thread on the 'Your A-series' forum).

I'd love to know what colour this is! Anyone? :)

Just finished making my wedding ring:

It started off as a 1918 Florin (pre-1920 UK 'silver' coins are actually sterling silver), and, in a nutshell, I've just tapped around the edge very gently with a small hammer (lots!) and then cut out the middle. I had my first go with a 1946 coin, which is 50% silver, 50% cupronickel, and apart from making it the wrong size, was fairly quickly reminded I'm allergic to nickel! I then had another go, again with '40s coin, to get the sizing right, before tackling the real thing. So, 8 months after deciding to do it, I've finally got a ring which fits, and hopefully won't cause a ring of strange blisters on my finger!

Nice work, Lukey! :D I knew it'd be good when you showed me the prototype.
