 Re: Topical Tats
Maybe if Joe puts his here (as well as cool pics) one of the mods (if they wouldn't mind) could move all the other Tat discussion posts (I'm feeling bad for cluttering up the cool pics thread, I thought it was O/T thread until after I posted)

 Re: Topical Tats
as requested! when i look at the shift pattern, i reliased now i need to upload another photo of it.. it looks very disproportional in this pic, and i actually copied the exact icon off my dashboard then scaled it up! the shading... that was all Jo! all i gave her was the outline of the shift pattern and she did what she wanted! it was originally going to be the pattern, with the 602 and the rest underneath! but the artwork i gave her was cut into pieces and moved around my arm untill we found somewhere they both mated up nicely and also, theres still plenty of room left for more

 Re: Topical Tats
Just an observation here [brought on by reading this thread] .... I wish I'd had a coupla tatoo's done on myself many years ago. Two silhouettes ....a 2CV on one arm,and a motorcycle on the other.....I know now that I still would'nt have regretted them even now. And then again, hindsight is a wonderful thing [sometimes] .... [and I hate the thought of blood & pain ......especially if its me involved].... T.

 Re: Topical Tats
Shading the gear diagram is like shading a London Tube map to actially look like tubes! ... now it just looks like a mug rack you can't hang mugs on! A graphic miss-understanding made flesh!

 Re: Topical Tats
Is this fairly harsh criticism a bit like saying 'oh, you've got a painting hanging on the wall, but as it's not a signed van gogh you're a massive twat'

erm... Yes, I think it's getting that way! At the end of the day, if Joe decides in a couple of years that he doesn't like the shading, it wouldn't exactly be difficult to fill it right in would it? And if he does still like it, fantastic!

I haven't said anything about the prudence of getting the Tattoo itself! It's an instruction in the form of a graphic symbol, adding shading turns it into something else!

 Re: Topical Tats
I've had my lip pearced about three months ago and been sort of looking out for a chevron related stud, trouble is I'm currently off work due to putting a transparent plastic stud in(for work) and having a bad reaction. It's swollen right up and is rather unpleasant. I'm ditching the lip ring idea I had and liked, and will spend the day pulling my alternator to bits and drawing up the tattoo sleeve I'm desperate to get (2cv related of course, plus my love of music and guitars)
