The most suitable unit I've found so far would be an Aisin AMR 300, rare in britain, found on japanese domestic market subaru vivios 660cc. They crop up quite often on aussi ebay, isn't Harley doing something with a supercharger, is it one of these? Harley, confirm or deny? Correct Joolz, it is a Aisin AMR 300 i am strapping onto a tuned Visa engine. This is easily the bestcheapestmostavailable option for a 2cv engine. The M45 Eaton compressors are still to large and will be working well outside of the compressors most efficient pumping speed. I have got figures written down somewhere but not on hand atm. Matching the correct compressor to your desired hp/psi required is half the struggle, the AMR300 is perfect match (from a 650cc subaru engine, albeit old technology Here is an 'interesting' thread i found about some nutter compressing a minitruck http://www.minitrucktalk.com/showthread.php?p=54301#post54301Russ, Megasquirt it, you will not be disapointed once you have done it once it seems so easy and even easier to do again there is lots of good info in LPGO's thread and on the Snail forum. I'm only half smart, I don't solder and thinking electronics make my bowls loose but i did it! You definitely have the minerals involved to get the job done I luv Lpgo's idea for a tuned 435cc engine Cheers Harley

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Because I'm a geek, and 86mph is quite quick, and you've got low profile tyres on, I put the numbers into Cats' tuning calculator. Assuming the tyres are 155/55, then 86.6mph is 7462rpm, even if the tyres are 155/65 that's still over 7000rpm. Did you take ear defenders?

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
I was quite pleased with the 86.6 mph, but I tried almost all the way home to better it and I couldn't get closer than 83mph. It'd be nice to wang some massive tyres on it and see what it will reach. Over 90mph would be quite nice to see.

i tend to find things start to rattle and wobble (the doors do as well) at 60 plus, i dont tend to drive more than 50 as the road i drive on every day and i dont drive on many other roads is a 50
