Post Re: Solexes
Papers arrived to day and went immediatly to a car-parts-shop to make a license plate.
Yesterday collected an old fuel-can, wich can be mounted on the front fork, mounted it this morning.; Can needs a good clean on the inside before I put fuel in it. Can is from the sixties(ish).

After I got the plate, I bolted it on the Solex and made a small tour through Tilburg. Got some thumbs up!
Onle had to stop once to clean the jet and fuelfilter, but that's done in a few minutes now.

Some photo's:

Sweet! Do you have a similar metal can on the inner wing of your ami? there was a bracket to hold one on my old Ami.

Two in the Ami!
One (unfortunately) from Shell, and one I don't know.
Look also quite old.

Cleaned out the fuel system (tank and fuelpipes) becasue I had some problems with dirt/rust in the tank, making the fuelpipe block and made me pedal homewards...
So cleaned everything out, put it back together this morging and went for a small tour..

Solex works great now, so can drive a log time and not have to stop to clean the fuel pump, pipes and stuff.

Some pictures are coming up ;)

I found the boxes with the engine from my 3800 in yesterday. <happy>

I need to get a pair of conrod needle bearings (they were hell to find when I was looking last time) and it can finish being assembled and go back on the bike.
