 Re: Moderation.
For some reason, and I can't think why, all this temp mod furore stuff has reminded me of when one of my teachers (Miss Brown) went off on a so-called "geography field trip" to Bruges with the PE teacher (Mr Wilson) leaving the class to severely test the boundaries with some poor supply teacher... coincidentally, the PE teacher's bollocks were rumoured to have caught fire.

 Re: Moderation.
this is more of a suggestion, however ill put it here cos i cant be arsed to dig out the suggestions thread, so i accept the slap on the rist.
my suggestion, is obviosuly the people behind this site, im sure have to pay a considerable amount for domain name, hosting what ever, i dont really understand, but i was thinkiing the other day, that i sent someone a part, and i didnt want anything for it, but the other party was prepared to pay, then maybe like a "donations" pot? of some sort? an i2f fund alike, shoot me down for the idea its only an idea after all

 Re: Moderation.
If you take peoples money they usually want to have a say in how it's run. I'd sooner We paid for it ourselves and had full control. It's really relatively cheap to run though, but it's a nice suggestion.

 Re: Moderation.
im not suggesting you take the money as such, and are told how to run the place, not what imeant, more of a donation rather than a fee, more like a charitble donation to the forum rather than to you, and then the charitble donations club together to pay some or all of the fees if that makes sense

 Re: Moderation.
That's much the same thing, any money we need has come from the sale of stickers and hoodies. The money needed to run the site isn't an issue, I don't notice it coming from my account, and although the domain names cost Neil a bomb they won't need renewing until 2016 now. It's nice if when we do the toilet parties that people buy a bottle for it.

 Re: Moderation.
What about "anonymous" donations. ie those who want to can put a few quid into a fund and yet the "say so" remains with you guys....and no one even knows who put a few quid in ? ....I and others just like it here and want to help if ever we can. ........I hear it comming.....rumble....rumble.... Russ - " We dont want any donations......how many times!!!" .....and yes Russ I understand that, but at least you know we all like it here and I suspect financial offers of help are just to encourage you and the team to keep it going and ...... .......oh bugger it....I will buy a bloody sticker then .....how do I do that?
