Post Re: The O/T thread!
Just been watching - as I'm sure you all have - footage of the Chilean miners being rescued. Science & technology at its best.

I know it's a bit mawkish, hawkish, talkish, politically exploitedish and faaaaar too godish for any normal person's liking, but it is also genuinely heart-warmingish.

gOD is great. It's just a shame hE was sooo busy directing the path of the drill that hE took hIS eye off that poor lady in Afghanistan.

I mean, Ms Norgrove - who selflessly devoted most of her tragically short life to the desperate needs of people much worse off than she - was sacrificed, I presume, because gOD was so distracted by rescuing an earthy bunch of fornicators and adulterers that hE took hIS eye of that clumsily-tossed grenade.

I mean this most sincerely - I do not understand the mysterious way gOD moves.

I wish, Old Nail, I wish...

Instead I have to confess it's my childish way of dissing the almighty with hIS insistence of being addressed only with capitalised pronouns. Or something like that.

If you're wrong, he's likely to sign up at I2F and cast us all into eternal damnation.
