 Re: Spa 2010
What a suprise! The French are going on strike for a few days just as we want to get on a ferry.
just once, I'd like to go abroad without the French making it bloody awkward.
Czech: Three (?) hours in dover waiting to board a boat, followed by a 2am arrival at the campsite in france.
Spa '09: Four hours of cocking about in Dover trying to board a ferry before being told to go get on a train instead, Midnight arrival.
Christmas barn tour: 12Hours sitting in Folkestone in the feezing cold prior to going home again. Never arrived at all.

Looks like the planning strikes and broken/not working ferry's and trains when there's a meeting on the main land.. Let them build a bridge between the UK and France... Or will that collapse every now and then...

I'm all for the just getting there option. Are we factoring in a Hypermarche en route, or just get booze and food in blighty? I hope the French don't fuck up this trip with strike action. I'll give some entent bastard cordial if they do!
