 MOT question....
Is it an MOT fail if your windscreen wipers won't switch off? I mean they do stop eventually......

 Re: MOT question....
I'm not sure but IIRC it's something to do with the park mechanism? I've not really taken a wiper motor to bits before but the Ami does this, would you like a new motor assemble Louise?

 Re: MOT question....
Err yes pretty sure it is they like them to switch on and off when they want them to but if you are well known at the station then i'm sure they will let it go.

 Re: MOT question....
I'll have one kicking about somewhere mate, just shout. But sorry, I'm shattered, and I really can't justify driving to north Wales this evening. Bloody hell, that's two years since I had it, isn't it?

I have a lovely photo of you sprawled on the bonnet giving it a hug when it came back.

 Re: MOT question....
not sure how to do it off the top of my head, but I think you can probably just disconnect the park mechanism? I think you'd need to disconnect one of the spade connectors on the back of the switch. Obviously they won't self-park but I don't think that's an MOT issue. Good luck for the morning!
