Outwardly they're just a 2cv. They are pretty common compared to some stuff. I think mehari is the way to go, despite them being dangerous and crippling to drive.

And bloody expensive here in France.

Oh I won't buy a mehari, just the panels, the spaceframe wont be any use anyway.

Or something like this, combining many of the passenger comforts of a Trabi with the weatherproofing of a Mehari...
There's even a bit of 2CV crosser thrown in, as it may well have a 2CV4 drum brake gearbox in it before it goes off to West Virginia. ;)

None of this half-hearted approach when banding wheels either... 8-)

That does look like a grin, but I'm surprised it's worth shipping it across the pond. There's loads of that sort of stuff out there, although probably not using our favourite twin pot.

If there's a container heading there anyway, with a couple of cars, 10 chassis, some rebuilt gearboxes and racks plus other Citroen related bric-à-brac on board, then having this toy sent out as well should keep Erik very happy.

I wouldn't mind having a blast around his estate in it, but will have to settle for a run around one of the local fields for testing purpose... ;)
