Ok, found there is 7.5cms of thread on the front tie ros. I had 3.5cm screwed in, now reduced that to 2 so the front is lower, handling is better and she has more of a 'stance' rear wing is still not clearing the top of the hub cap though and I have 1.5cm of thread visible at the rear. guessing I should crank the back up a little further. In fairness there is a sub and a spare wheel in the boot.

whi not take it all out and see how she sits then, thatll give you an idea as to wehther its the sub or the tie rods?

compared mine to a stock red spesh last night. it had oodles of spare thread at the rear and the hub cap was totally visable. there must be something up with my cans

sam, isn't there supposed to be a spare wheel in the boot? I've just realised that you've got both a rear adventure bumper and a Citroen type? towbar hung on the back end of your car. That amount of ballast is going to pull the back end down a fair bit, especially with the centre of gravity of both items sitting behind the rear axle... If you want to check how much difference they make, hook a spring balance onto the tow ball and apply 'around' 30kg lift. If the rear springs have been overloaded at some point, they may taken a set, in which case it's either replace the springs or chop 10mm off the end of the tie rods in order to wind up the back end. ken samfieldhouse wrote: Ok, found there is 7.5cms of thread on the front tie ros.
