Saturday evening and Sunday is usual fine in residential areas which you can find around south bank away from Waterloo station.

Avoid West End Saturday and I think Sunday too these days.

For south bank parking round by Festival hall is usually possible or towards Tate Modern.

We have found parking along north side of embankment towards Blackfriars is ok. Then across one of the bridges to get you the other side of the river.

City is mostly closed weekends so there are less restriction that way and at most only until 13:00 on a Saturday.

Go to Paris or Brussels instead. Cleaner and nicer looking, and probably easier and more fun to drive in.

I hear Paris is full of Chien Merde that you have difficulty in missing, due to the sheer quantity.

Thinking of going to France in about 4 weeks time, I've booked a week off work.
