Post 2CVGB International photo gallery now online
There's now a photo gallery online at: http://www.2cvgb.org.uk/national10/

Thanks to all those whose photos I've nicked, (You should have recieved a PM asking for your permission, but if not, and you want any removed, just PM me).

If anyone else has any great photos (particularly of people in Roman costume, or the bands) please send them to me for inclusion. :)

Thanks,
Lobster

As stated above, this is the bit where YOU come in, guys! You're 2CVers, FFS! You're supposed to have a 'can do'/'make the most of it' approach to fun.

Bang on, Anna! (even though we didn't go ourselves...). Strikes me as a two-way thing, though - there seems to have been a move over the last 9 years or so away from the concept of being participants, in favour of treating members as consumers. Do that, and a lot of people easily develop a 'what are you going to do for me, now' attitude, instead of mucking in and making it happen.

Perhaps it's the times we live in, as well (did I say the Age of Shit?) - World Meetings certainly feel more commercial and consumer-orientated, and consequently less like a big party. And I'm afraid French Nationals are losing it too, and it's nothing to do with showers, or whether it's cold, or the field's bumpy, or all the other ball-aching you hear: anyone who went to both Landais meetings (2003 and 2009) will have felt the difference.

We still remember Chilham (even though we helped organise it), and still managed to have a great time, and probably got drunk too often, but in retrospect it was probably, by present day standards, a shambles.   Times have changed...
