Jono, where-ever you live, there always seems to be an abundance of old citroens! It's funny. I never see any. :(

Jono, CX's everywhere! you'd never have thought they were rare! Where abouts do you live? I thought you were up by psalter lane somewhere?

Mum's having more trouble with her's, the gear change is giving her problems and the ignition lock is starting to give up on her!

I live just up the road I turned up when you followed me up London Road in your CX the other week.

You Mum's gear linkage wasn't good when I had a look at it last year (Pete's mum works just around the corner from where I live in Sheffield, so I see her red Special sometimes). I seem to recall that the thread was iffy on the bolt that holds the vertical part of the lever onto the little shaft that comes out of the box, therefore it'd keep coming loose and causing problems. Also, the rubber bush on the joint between the vertical and horizontal part of the linkage was knackered - but they're cheap and easy to replace.

Spray WD40 down the lock of the ignition barrel, does it for me.

And remove the steering lock collar before it all goes horribly wrong.

Okiedoke... I just don't fancy parting with £90 for a replacement especially now some little sod has put a footlong scratch in Dexy (the CX), going to cost me a fortune in bodyshop fees when I do find a buyer.
