   |   Re: head unit & active subwoofer & live feedThe sub has fat wires supplied (with inline fuses), so it is a matter of duplicating that for the head unit. Also the head unit and sub have fuses fitted.
I really like the idea cutting out the ignition wire as I will take the face off everytime I get out anyway.

I am sticking the head unit under the dash shelf anyway so there is earth right there.

   |   Re: head unit & active subwoofer & live feedI'm probably wrong, but I still think you need to have the blue wire on the sub (that turns it on) to the ignition, as otherwise the sub and amp will be live constantly. Or not at all? That way switching the ignition off turns the amp off, and taking the face off/pressing the off button turns the head unit off. _________________

   |   Re: head unit & active subwoofer & live feedI was going to connect the blue remote wire from the head unit to the sub. However the ignition wire is already there as I may as well connect it. _________________
