On previous classic cars that I've owned I've always gone for natural Carnuba wax as it's durable and long lasting. The new breed of waxes tend to have additives such as silicones in them to make them easier to apply, but silicone is a nightmare to get rid of should you ever want to repaint your car. Do the extra work and stick with a good quality carnuba for best results.

Looking to go to Scotland next week. I'm hoping to go in the 2cv, but my brother has voiced an interest in coming along as we rarely see each other. Trouble is, he's a miserable old git who doesn't want to go in the 2cv I wouldn't complain, but with this lovely weather we're all experiencing at the moment, it seems crazy to sit inside an enclosed steel and glass euro-box. 2cvs are made for holidays. I'll keep you posted on who wins the battle, but somehow I think it'll be Scotland in the Fabia

I'm off to Barra this weekend. Going in a mate's swish (but a bit boring) new C5 estate as far as Oban. I'll be tenting it, then running a 1/2 marathon... in the rain. Not really looking forward to it tbh, but I guess it'll be memorable!
