 Yet another red spesh...
Well, it turned up today. you'll notice to save time I've already had a breakdown truck fitted to it, as where's the point in delaying the inevitable? Some parts fell off on the way down... Some parts have been broken for a while... Anybody got the AC code for 'vert mould'? The roof is a bit cattle trucked. LOL@paint matches! This is my friend Martin. He is laughing. ...and that's the last I'll see of the merc. SAD TIMES! It doesn't look too sad, the top half of the shells relatively tidy, underneath it's got that horrible type of rust that affects not one panel, but the three or four panels near it, and looks fine until you prod. the shell is effectively scrap, although that's not stopped anybody yet... This is Martin again. Running away before i changed my mind! The biggest problem is that the chassis has just collapsed on the driveway. I have another chassis, however it's the one that's meant to be going under my crosser this weekend. Here lies a quandary, I want this turd turned round fast so I can cane it about this summer, that means either stumping up for a new chassis (not happening) or finding a good used one (unlikely) or, the scenario I'm reluctant to carry out, use my Cross chassis. The body can be patched up for an MOT easy, it's more work than I wanted, but it's doable, it's only metal and I've no intention of doing it properly, just doing and thrashing it. Watch this space...

Looks nice and chassis is just doable, or is it really done?!

You should report whoever repaired that floor to the RSPCA for cruelty to chickens

Do you always put four fingers in a random hole? Looks not that bad for a car with a roof like that... Seen worse cars, with a waterproof roof on it ;')

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
I'm one of the laziest people you'll ever find, so if I'd waited and procrastinated on this it would never get started, let alone finished. So, after work (yes, on a bastard saturday too!) this morning I had a brew, bought twenty fags and set about it. My aim is to have the body off this evening, and the 2cv cross chassis built up tomorrow, which means I need a new chassis for that. Ah well, that's what buying ropey shit via an SMS message gets you I guess! Engine ready to come out... The driveway. My parents are really, really happy about this. So happy, in fact, my mother just offered to give me the deposit on a house of my own... Stripped! I'm going to have some crumpets, then I'll get out there and get the shell off.
