That trip you described is great fun. Caning it up the Feeder Road is brill, esp. in a 2cv.
My 2cv, Snowy the Snail, is in daily use at the moment, mostly buzzing the roads around Stourbridge, Halesowen and Kiddie. Just discovered he's got a bit of a rusty seam just under the rear end, though, so he'll have to have a bit of tlc soon. Look out for us, it'll be good to compare notes when we meet up.

Mine's got plenty of rust. We'll have to have a mini-meet when Mr. Spanners has finished his engine rebuild.....I feel a Sunday hoon coming on.

Re: 1988 2CV6 Special 'El Bastardo'
Nothing much to report, what with doing 12hr days at work and the current bad weather I've not had much time or inclination to get out there and do anything.
Seth's a lovely car, but....I dunno....it drives much more smoothly/quietly than Hellbilly did, but it just seems to lack that secret ingredient that made me love that car so much. Some things you bond with, others you just....don't. Plus it's a bit cramped, I have a recurrent shoulder injury from work a few years ago, and sitting with my right shoulder twisted forwards means that after an hour behind the wheel I'm in agony. Not good. I struggle with Land-Rovers for the same reason.
The extra money from work means that I'm in a happy situation where I can put some money each month, which means that my Ami purchase is probably going to happen sooner than later. I've got some non-Citroen bits for sale on various sites too at present, which should net me a few hundred notes.
All of which mean that in all probablility I'm going to stick this one up for grabs at the end of the week, I haven't decided yet.....but I'm 99% there.
A shame, but there you go.
