As you've probably seen I've put fog lights on my red 2cv, I'd like to have them on one switch for the both of them switch. I dont have a clue with electrics. Help.

I took the supply from the headlamps (as legally I think they can only be on when the headlamps are) and wired them to a relay. Then I took the main supply from a spare fuse position (as I'd changed the fusebox for a blade type).

With it being a late cor its got two fuse boxes have you got pictures of what you have done ?

Do you want fog lights or driving lights?

Fog lights - short, wide beam. Great for use in thick fog, when main or even dip will bounce back off the fog and blind you. ONLY LEGAL TO USE IN VERY POOR VISIBILITY.


Driving lights - long, thin beam. Great for use with main beam, to light even further up the road. ONLY LEGAL TO USE WITH MAIN BEAM.


Take a feed from the headlight switch - either from the wire that comes live with sidelights (for fog) or main beam (driving lights), and take that through an illuminated switch. From there, to the "switch feed" terminal on a relay, and to earth.
Take the power supply from the battery +ve, through a fuse (as close to the battery as you can), to the relay, then to the auxiliary lights, and to earth.

This is about right, but it'll be easier to take the switched power from the light switch, not the fuse box, and use an illuminated switch.

I want them lights to work legaly or not im not likely to use them, they have a positive and negative coming out of the back if that makes any difference.

Fog pattern but its says may be used as Driving lights, so I will use Them as fog lights me thinks.

Also I hate things that look the part but dont do the part, therefore they have to work

Umm, that makes no sense. The reflectors and lenses will be different for fog lights and driving lights.

Should be fog lights I was talking crap above as I was just Reading the instructions which just state the laws and it seems to depend what bulb it's got in, I bought these for the pick up as fog lights.

Don't think there is a legal requirement for fogs to work, only when headlamps are on, my Fabia has fogs and they work with just side lights on.
