Post Hello! Virgin 2CV owner here
Hi all

Just thought I'd say hello, bought my first 2CV last week and drove it back from Bournemouth to Norwich.

I'm calling it my mid-life crisis car, trust me to be different and not get a red sports car like most men at that time of life!

My Dad had a Dyane6 when I was little, but I much prefer the 2CV and have wanted one for many years.

Oh yes, my new 2cv is a 'Special' in Yellow and black, and is lovely, if a bit moth eaten.

Justin

Hi Neil

Yes it is a Black & Yellow Charleston.

I found the forum though another forum I am a member of, the XRtwo forum. I had an XR2 for 7 years a long time ago.

 Really I wasn't aware there was any crossover of interest from here in that direction. Who ever it is around here who's a secret XR2 fan has kept it pretty quiet, what are they scared of? Just kidding, I've nothing against a nice mk1. 8-)

Funny enough when I was looking into the XR2 (back in 1991) the alternative was also French, the Renault 5. I don't think there is much of a cross-over I think I'm just rather odd :)

Look forward to seeing the pair of you at the CCC National Rally this summer, then. It's at the British Motor Heritage museum, at Gaydon, 17/18 July - and the field will also be playing host to the Mk1 Fester club...
