Currently no tensioner , based on fixed shafts and this .. https://www.blocklayer.com/chain-sprocket.

Try out for the additional shaft, with dog selector. Re-using a top shaft and the third gear dog selector parts. Ignore the large hole in the casing, this was an attempt to use gears like a Mehari 4x4. Attachment:

Got the 13 tooth sprocket, splined done with EDM (wire cut). Attachment:

So you remove the end plate of the standard gearbox?
