These Covid Christmases we're all having aren't the best are they? I find that messing about with old cars is a pleasant distraction . P1030555 by Robndaisy, on Flickr The scuttle panel's life has been hard, P1030557 by Robndaisy, on Flickr shouldn't there be a drain there? P1030560 by Robndaisy, on Flickr The other side, still intact and good for a pattern. I'm going to make a press tool that'll make (at least) two patch panels. Those rubber drain things are flamin' mad, but then... . P1030562 by Robndaisy, on Flickr The bottom die is done, just need to sort out the plate for the top one. P1030563 by Robndaisy, on Flickr After all that good food etc. I needed the exercise. P1030564 by Robndaisy, on Flickr The first test, not too bad, I'm making the pressing just circular because it's too complicated to fabricate otherwise, with what I've got here .

Nice job Rob. We made a mould in hardwood for the sahara bonnet's spare wheel carrier. It went rather well

Cheers! It was a flamin' pain to locate correctly (to make sure that the rubber seal fitted properly). I had to shut the bonnet and crawl inside to pin it and then I could open the bonnet and finally weld. nearly done with the bodyshell repairs but there's still work on the door bottoms, rear wing and front inner wing. I'll probably leave them and concentrate on putting the windscreen back in and then the wiring and dashboard. Still hoping to get it running and finish it this year . Oh yeah, just remembered I've got to rebuild the flaming engine .
