Post Indicator LED
I'm thinking of maybe converting my indicators to LED. Currently I only use LED for the stop lights (great bulbs in there, really bright and they've lasted for years.) and my sidelights because of the angles of visibility.
My side repeaters are LED already.
It would mean finding bulbs that were suitable, in that they are effective from all angles.

I'd have to get an LED flasher unit, which would be pretty easy, as LED bulbs in the indicators wouldn't flash otherwise.

Anyone got any experience with this and if its OK? I'm just trying to streamline my electrics really since there's so little to spare. My current indicators are not very old but the electrical draw is noticeable, which is funny but odd.

I see that a lot of modern cars with led rearlights are badly visible in sunlight...

Thanks Pete!

Yes care needs to be taken using LED, it's the reason I've only done the stop lamps so far. And those ones work really well. Bulbs should have improved since then though.

At least I won't be painting over them to tint them! Can't believe those ones.......

Oh just for electrical streamlining.

When I have my voltage monitor plugged in, if I use the indicators I notice quite a big draw.

Hmm yeah all good there. The indicators at the front were new not long ago too. I'll check connections in case, but I got so sick and tired of having indicators that constantly needed fiddling with, I bought new ones and went through everything to make it really good in that area. And my repeaters were beyond repair so I bought LED ones from 2cv City I think it was.
