Changed the oil. Is it just me that notices my cars always sound different after an oil change?

And drove it a couple hundred miles without stopping, it was as awesome as ever with one (or two) exceptions. Twice, a loose connection on the circuit that has indicators and fuel gauge and also charging. I had the monitor plugged in and noticed it drop to battery voltage for a bit, I was about to stop but then it came back on. Did it again later, it rained and the wipers also stopped as being on the same circuit, but I just arrived, so yay!

Been through all those connections on the bulkhead as somehow missed refreshing those before. Just firmed them all up, haven't had the problem since so hopefully that's all it was.

Car has been awesome, such a pleasure to drive all the way and it's great in Devon, even on the hills it just roars around the place being super practical.

The 2CV feels like a sports car in comparison with the '32 Minor. Especially on hills. Never thought I'd compare a 2CV with a sports car

I know what you mean Jonathan. I've always thought the 2cv engine is pretty rorty actually. It's the twin choke boxer characteristics I think. I drive fast cars all the time but I've always still thought the 2cv was kind of flexible and torquey in its feel. It's just it's sooo tiny!

Yesterday changed the only muffler on my 4x4 Dyane. After MOT I just replaced rotten muffler with only muffler what I had at home, 45mm resonator, and with that the exhaust sound was much too loud and rough. With original one, the sound was again reasonable. Little louder than original, cause I have crossbox replaced by quite freeflow home-made version without any silencer...

For now, it is again driveable when other people wants to sleep...

No, You aren't alone with that feeling. I have noticed that with all of my cars. New oil is always new oil, and oil "wear" when it is used...

What happened was!
Helping a friend to clear her garage ...
Took the Shed over for tip runs. Pick her up, and the car stops!

Just out of curiosity Roger, why the electric fuel pump? Is it better, usually?
