Rob Something I was introduced to by a friendly MOT man, was Seam Sealer. Not cheap, but more flexible than filler. Check if it's cellulose based and what is under/over. This does need to be applied externally, as opposed to beer, which can be enjoyed internally. Enjoy .... I'll just put up with my cider then, shall I ...

Thanks Rog., I've used it on the van and the 2cv before and it's very good. I've used 3M stuff before but I may try something different this time. Oh i've got cider as well...as well as Gin etc. .

P1030358 by Robndaisy, on Flickr spotweld 4 layers together and mature since 1980. Considering that the 4 pieces add up to about 3.5 mm. when new, it's expansion over time has been quite dramatic . P1030361 by Robndaisy, on Flickr Ordered repair C posts and began prepping up for the sill repair. P1030348 by Robndaisy, on Flickr I left the windscreen repair like this for now, fun with bodyfiller later...much later . P1030356 by Robndaisy, on Flickr If I sit there long enough, drinking tea, it may repair itself.

I find if I sit still to long drinking tea, the rust gains on me ..
