Brought the 57 to the garage and collected the 83. It started right away after 6 months of hibernation. I drove it out and had to pump up the tyres. And then it wouldn't start again...flat battery. So i hooked it up to the charger for half an hour. It started and i got it out on the street and left it running when i did put the 57 indoor. Have to get used again to the modern car ;-) Silent and strong.

I seems it wasn't the battery that prevented starting but the contacts at the key. Have to take them apart might be slightly oxydized.

Just had the handbrake of the 83 adjusted. Every 2 years for MOT. I don't use that brake hardly at all.

Passed MOT. There is an bit of an oil leak, have to find the cause. Brakes front and handbrake both about 3 kN, rears some 2,5 kN.

I can not localise the oil leak, it's a bit dirty everywhere. So i am thinking of an faulty breather tube. I have one here that had only 27.000 kms. I did put it in the car and also ordered a new crankshaft front seal to be sure. The front of the engine was a bit dirty too but after driving i didn't see any fresh oil running. So ???

My most annoying oil leak was the feed pipe to the cylinder head, one side corroded through.
I normally cycle everywhere and I kept noticing oil tracks in the rain when I rode to the gym. Some irresponsible car owner, I thought.

One day I drove in the Deuche and when I came out of the gym I saw on the rainy ground, the rainbow trail of where had come in the car park and reversed into the space. I could see it all the way home. It was me the whole time!

Bad me, its lethal for bikes and motorbikes. It ended up really leaking hard at work and the car had to stay there for a bit until I fixed it.

I once had a broken oil pressure sensor, i lost almost all oil in running to the bakery in town and back to the camping in france (2kms). So i spend two days in finding an other one. The local garage ex-citroen dealer didn't find one in their stock an tried to weld the old one shut. No result. The camping guard did call the Citroen main-dealer in Macon and they had one left in stock. My luck, my parents were on the camping too so we drove their car to Macon to pick it up.
