Got the 4x4 thru the TÜV.

Failed on brake imbalance but after changing a front caliper it passed!

installed a new (old .... ) door (passenger) inner mechanism, that I had in the cupboard. I bought a job lot years ago and found them them looking for something else. If know what I was looking for in the first place .... please advise !!!!

So thats working, but I need to sort the inner door panel. Tricky bit is going to be getting the curve in the right place for the inner door handle . :D

Had a lovely day pottering about doing bits and pieces to the Deuche. Fitted some spotlights and a reversing light, some other bits and bobs. Very relaxing, wish I could drive it but I've got an ankle injury on my clutch foot.

My uncle had a foot injury once.
He drove his car whilst using a walking stick to operate the clutch.
Not safe, but he could drive his car .

Haha well done him, I have that kind of mindset sometimes, but luckily although my daily transport is always bike, I have two other cars and they automatic.

Once I had my forearm and wrist etc in a plaster cast and at that time only had the Deuche. I went away in it anyway, god knows how because it was my left arm. Determination won through obviously..

Ha, I am now mobile and so is my car. Clutch foot is working and the car started fine. Had to take a trip just one junction down the M4 to help a friend with a broken down modern car. Even on the motorway, it was so nice! Always forget how smooth this little thing can be, it really made me smile.

We got my friends Peugot 208 close to the garage who will fix it, then it broke down though and absolutely no way would I tow with that particular person behind me. It wasn't far, I bet the mighty deuche could have done it. But I didn't fancy that haha.

I drove it around today as well and I have missed this little buggy. I re-sited my newly fitted driving lights, had to drill holes in my bumper which I was trying to avoid, but it was worth it I think. They look great.
