Grind round the joint, just enough to remove the fold, each half SHOULD have a shoulder.
I had some alu rings laser cut, that when bolted up, pull the two halves together, the two rings one complete others one in two parts... if memory is working....ABS should work for the rings, minimal loading...

Do you have any reed material left?

Are you intending to start a new one, or try this on the one you have already converted?

Just on a fuel injection site and had a thought! ..... that's 2 already this year!

My engine management cpu has a MAP sensor. It would be interesting to read the crank case vacuum.

If I recall, its usually read from the dip stick hole, is that right?

what would be good readings?

The crankcase vacuum is minimal, need a sensitive unit ....BMP 180 I2C mounted in an air tight box?.....

How much lift do you think the reeds need? How much would the rubber ring have given?
