Post Show us you're 2CV-towed trailer
Have decided it would be nice with some more luggage space, especially as I've taken up kitesurfing in 2020. So to add more luggage space I have just become the lucky(?) owner of a tiny trailer. Bought in my neighborhood after I knocked on the door and asked if I could buy it. I did not know the guy, but it turned out he was also a 2CV owner, and had two of these trailers. He was happy to sell one of them on to another 2CV owner. Small world! Not having a tow bar on the 2CV, I just wheeled it home by hand. Not much heavier than a wheelbarrow really.

Anyway, I've never towed a trailer with a A-model before, so I'm looking forward to try that. I'll be mounting a tow bar(Danish made!) on my 2CV during the winter. I took it off of a wreck a looong time ago. Never throw anything away, eh? ;)
Already got new wheels for it, as they are cheap. Was considering bigger wheels with radials, but had some issues with that. So instead of working them out, I just went for a set of marginally bigger wheels, in white, so they mach my cars wheels.
I might paint the trailer, but since I have more than one 2CV, I'm not gonna match it up with one of them. I think. It gets to keep it's original light gray color. I like it. I'll make some new tubing around the lid also.
Other than that, it's in good condition.

:?: Hey, anybody familiar with these trailers, and can tell me what these hooks on the bottom of the trailer and on the lid, is intended for?!
I can not think of anything! If it is hooks for securing cargo, surely the four bottom ones(two on each sides) would face the other way. And on the lid, they are only on one side!?

As the headline of the topic suggests, please feel free to post pictures in this thread of your own 2CV with a trailer.

What brand is it ?
It looks a bit like the trailers I used for my work, only they were much bigger .
But the built is similar.
The hooks where not on my trailers.

This was the Combi-Camp 'Sport' two-person trailer tent I owned before I moved up to Shetland in 2013. I used it all over the UK and even took it to France, with the mountain bike attached to the boot-mounted cycle carrier.

The photo with the van was actually taken in France, on the way to the French 2CV National.

I would hazard a guess that the hooks on your trailer are lashing points for a cover over the luggage rack.

Yeah, but the problem with that is that there are four of them at the bottom of the trailer, but cant be used as lashing points with the orientation they have. So they must have ben intended for something else. The ones on the lid could be used as lashing points, but they are only on one side. Strange stuff. Besides, one can lash on the railing going around the whole lid.. The lid is reinforced to take some load, clever.

Nice Combi camp. About 300kg? Over that, one must have brakes on the trailer to avoid the 60 km/t speed limit :?

God knows. It towed fine behind the Deuche, so no complaints here. I would sit on the motorway at 55 to 60mph (90 to 100km/h).

And after towing it 20 miles you realised you'd left the handbrake (drum version, of course) on.
