This is what can happen when 'someone who should know better' uses an out of balance knot twist rotary wire brush without the guard. No cut (lucky for me) and the brush is in the bin. It ripped off the interior sound deadening/ sealer a treat mind :).

Cutting through, leaving the original piece as something to weld to.

Now that's out of the way it's easy to trim the outer remnants from the inside.

Bolted onto the chassis and this is what you want to see, the toeboard panel sitting evenly across. seriously good panels Ken ;) .

the outer panel, held off by the original pressings, will either flatten then or cut around them for final fixing.

This repair panel fits well tidy. The front outrigger underneath will have to be replaced.

The driver's side (nearside, right hand ) is along way from shore though :D.

Finally was able to break out the welder and fasten the outer front sill repair that i'd made, permanently :) .
Tomorrow, the inner and maybe the front floor panel, maybe :D .
I'm so slow these days it's pathetic.

modified an axle stand to support the corner of the body while cutting around the the floor outrigger. Hung the door to check gaps ok.

As far as I got, driver's side almost ready for welding in, and passenger side (which needs a lot of work) started. :)

The trouble with Daisy being stuck in Portugal is that I have to make my own lunch these days  .

That's the inner piece of the triangular toeboard being welded in thank flame!
welding to decent steel like this is a pleasure, welding to the Citroen 'bean can' steel is usually fizzy but sometimes ok. This is when a Bedouin appeals, 'cos any offcuts could go into the woodstove :D

The way I feel about the Shed sometimes, the whole Bedouin could go in the woodstove. :o

The floors going in, driver's side done, just doing passenger's. Back on the windscreen surround tomorrow, :) .
When bodyshell is flipped, I'll be able to finish closing off the ends of the sills etc. glad that's done, eventually  . Like me, you're probably sick of looking at it
