Post Transporting a 2cv body
Hi All,


What sort of van has been used to transport a 2cv body (safely) with van doors shut.

VW T5???

citroen jumper? I did transport them on an little camper trailer several times.

My VW Transport's load bay is about 130mm too short.

But maybe I can leave the door's open a bit?

You could load the body-shell with the front higher .
If you have some wood or anything else, you could make a sort of a bench in the front of the bay , so the front of the shell is higher and stabil .
It just could make the difference .

@Geert,

Had similar idea, the "diagonal" line is longer.

With the shape of the front part of the body, I think its a case of seeing if its fits

with the body upside down it's easier to tilt it.

Wont fit a T4/5
Sprinter/Crafter and you're golden, you can drive a 2cv straight into one.

And nope, for sure will not fit a VW Transporter. We tried. Right way up, on its side, upside down, with the B pillars closed up with a ratchet strap...
