The heat under the bonnet can get rather great. On my first long trip with the 57 to the Orleans world meeting it was about 35 degrees. I had an canister of oil under the bonnet. It got so hot when i stopped to top up the oil it was as thin like water... Bu the car had no problem with it, it ran just fine.
